The second letter to the Corinthians is Paul's personal appeal to the church he founded in Corinth, a church influenced against Paul by false prophets. In describing the type of Church Leader that is pleasing to God, Paul reveals more about himself than in any other of his writings. It is as if we can see into his soul as he lovingly points out the faulty attitudes of the church at Corinth. In addition to guidance on leadership and on other subjects he also wrote about Christian giving. Paul was eager for the church to participate in the relief fund he was putting together for poor believers in Jerusalem. His rulings on these matters need to be applied to today's church.

Brilliant booklet. I loved that it is simple, to the point and understandable while being enjoyable with memorable amusing anecdotes. I bought several books to give to friends this Christmas

A very useful tool to live a more centred life...
...I've used lots of different journals and planners throughout my life, and am currently using this one along with three others as they all serve different purposes.
The daily, weekly and monthly rhythms serve to keep me grounded and anchored, ensuring my focus for that period of time is on Christ and His Kingdom.
I especially appreciate the daily structure, which takes you from Scripture (I use YouVersion's verse of the day), to pray, to thankfulness, to focus for the day.
A bargain at this price - well worth the investment!

VALUE!
A very conveniently sized copy of the complete NIV Bible, this is importantly a BLACK LETTER EDITION, essential for those with colour vision issues. These are not easy to find so this one was a delight. The price, though a secondary consideration, was also a lovely surprise.
