This is a series of photographs of Blue Mountains small businesses and the people within them - their spaces and their stories during the unimaginable autumn of the pandemic. The project is a response to COVID-19, a visual record of the people and places who had just barely survived the Black Summer's catastrophic bushfires and then faced shutdown. More uncertainty.
The faces in these photographs tell the story, they look through windows, doorways, and spaces modified to comply with new rules. Some are cheerful, getting on as they could. Others, simply bereft. Each photograph has an accompanying text. These are the stories told to Tracy Ponich, Photographer and Blue Mountains resident.
