While our relationships with our earthly fathers were designed to reflect our relationship with our heavenly Father, the reality of sin in our world means that many of us have relationships with our fathers fraught with pain, disappointment or absence. This devotional was written as a reminder that God is the wonderful Father that each of us desperately needs – a loving, encouraging, faithful, guiding, trustworthy, providing, protecting, comforting, healing, merciful Father. Take time to read the Scriptures listed in the Pause section each day; meditate on the questions in the Ponder section; and use the Pray section to help you speak to your Heavenly Father.
