Description
This ninth Pocket Pal covers the Wilson Glen and Gypsy Cave area on the southern side of Woodford. The first of these reserves was gazetted in 1880 making it one of the earliest surviving reserves for public recreation in the Blue Mountains.
Nowhere else has there been a combination of a memorial welcome arch; two named shelter sheds; three man-made water features; "imported" tree ferns; a combination of donated, purchased and reserved land; and a wide variety of ecosystems, vegetation and birdlife.
